Invitations to attend The Falklands Veterans Reception will be sent out during May, regrettably it is not possible to fit twenty eight thousand Falklands veterans or even five thousand SAMA members and partners into one location and like all other Commemorative events during the week 14th - 17th June 2007, we are very severely restricted by numbers.

Our goal is to get as many Veterans as possible to attend this Reception who are not attending any other commemorative event during the week. The selection team has been working through the list of veterans that applied for tickets through The Veterans Agency to make the final selection and send out the invitations.

Invitations will be sent out during early May.

Only those Veterans who show their Official Invitation Card and whose names appear on the list of those invited will be admitted.

About SAMA(82)

SAMA(82) promotes a sense of pride and comradeship among all veterans of the South Atlantic campaign, and keeps them in touch with each other. SAMA(82) has strong links with other veterans organisations and provides help and support to SAMA veterans experiencing hardship or distress.

SAMA(82) organises regular pilgrimages to the Falkland Islands for veterans. Pilgrimages are often a journey of discovery providing a unique backdrop for veterans to come to terms with the traumatic stresses they have endured over the years as a result of service during the Falklands war.
