I had never met this great man, but after reading his story, I am sitting here in front of my PC with tears in my eyes. I raise a glass to Terry. R.I.P.

I'm disgusted with my self that after 25 years I had never heard anything about this great man. I should have kicked myself up the arse years ago to learn more about how we all fitted in and supported each other during the Conflict.
The orbitury is a fitting tribute and the fact is that the name Terry Peck will probably be etched on my mind forever thanks to this Forum. If I wasn't a member of SAMA, I would probably still not be aware of his achievements. Many thanks to John Phillips for telling me about SAMA 3 years ago.

I echo Dusty's sentiments and feel that I have missed a huge part of the OpCorp story by not knowing about Terry sooner.
What an example to us all.
Go soldier on, as they say.

I am heartened to read the many tributes about Terry Peck and not just from people who knew him but, from people who never did.
As an ex-3 Para lance jack and Co- Founder of SAMA I knew Terry very well and shall miss him very much. Terry was so very proud of his contributions in 1982 and was just as effected by the battles as all of us are. He was made an Honorary Para and loved his Maroon Machine (beret) that was buried with him held in his hands.
Terry was also the key to SAMA Falkland Islands and the first Chairman. SAMA is bringing many friends and comrades together and its always very interesting to meet other members of the Task Force from other branches of service no matter what their jobs were. I have been gobsmacked to hear stories from NAFFI managers and RAPC blokes taking on fighter jets with GPMG's and other stories of great courage never heard of or read of in books or recognised by decorations. Terry was a man who whilst very humble, always recognised this in the many veterans he met over the years and those he never met...he had time for us all. God bless him.
