A sister ship of Atlantic Conveyor requisitioned 4 May and taken in hand at Devonport on the 6th.

Converted to carry, operate and support helecopters. Conversion similal to that for Atlantic Conveyor. Hangar fitted to the upper deck, forward and an improved aviation fuel AVCAT system.

Sailed 14 May with 28 helecopters, and arrived in the TEZ via Ascension on 27th.

Disembarked her aircraft and stores in San Carlos Water from 31 May with periods in the TRALA.

On 8-9 June recieved casualties from the RFAs Sir Galahad and Sir Tristram, some 170 of whom later transferred to the tankers British Trent and British Test for repatriation.

Entered Port William 17 June, unloading airfield engineering stores and finally left for home 13 July.

Recieved 4000 helicopter landings and refuelled aircraft 500 times.
